Hello.
Simon is a Cambridge based visual artist and published children’s book illustrator and author. Since completing a Masters degree in children’s book illustration from Cambridge School of Art, he has created five children’s books, which have been published internationally and translated into many languages. His first picture book ‘Small Mouse Big City’ was shortlisted for the Booktrust Early Years Award in the category of Best Emerging Illustrator and was featured as a ‘Bedtime story’ on the BBC Cbeebies channel.
As well as creating and illustrating picture books, Simon also exhibits regularly and continues to pursue personal, self-directed work as well as taking private commissions. As and artist he is primarily a draughtsman and painter, using a variety of Digital and traditional mediums and techniques from pencil, watercolor and acrylic to an iPad.
